Swiss made and maker is F Montandon or F Montanion. This enameled hunter is marked 18k inside both case covers and is heavy at 61g. It clearly has gold components, but the outside detailing where the enamel has been applied looks more like brass or a gold mix? The inner casing stamped with 18k is more obviously gold. There is a small case makers mark of JC (in an oval) on the inside of one over.
The watch is key set and key wound and appears to date from the 1880s. The watch has ran for me for 30min increments, but is very tight. I usually can by applying pressure with the key (holding it in and turned). Given this, I imagine somebody that knows what they are doing can get it to run.
The crystal and dial are in pristine condition. The case diameter is 42mm and the movement 35.2mm. The original wooden box works well.
